Fun Story

6/23/2010

A guy calls me on a Sunday afternoon, says all the other locksmiths he talked to either turn the job down, couldn't do it till Monday or told him to call me (All About Locks).

He lives 45 minutes up the hill and out in the middle of no where, lost his 83 Toyota truck keys and says he thinks a raccoon made off with his keys because he doesn't have doors on his truck.

The key code on a Toyota is stamped on the passenger side door lock - this is why I suspect the other locksmiths turned him down. (and the fact that he lives out in the sticks)
I said "do you still have the doors?"
he replies "Yea, they are at my mothers house in Chico."
I said "Great, I'll meet you there in an hour."

LOL - I love being a locksmith.

Reinvesting to serve you better

6/23/2010

Last year we invested heavily in tools and equipment.  The first half of this year we invested heavily in education.  We are proud to announce our latest service: Motorcycle key generation.  As a result of education and our recent investment in motorcycle key blanks (and the use of some tools/equipment we already owned) We can now make keys for motorcycles when the owners have lost their keys, not to mention basic key copy service for our two wheeled wonders.

To say we are excited about our new line of services would be an understatement.

We look forward to serving you.

A wonderful start to this month – and a new physical year

6/11/2010

As the month passes, another year of being in business passes as well and I look back at all that we have accomplished.  When the business began we had just enough equipment to pin locks and perform lockouts.  Today we are well equipped to perform most jobs.  As we enter a new year we are looking at

purchasing some "High Security" auto equipment (Laser and Sidewinder Transponder Keys) to service the high end vehicles in our local Chico Area.  We would like to give our BMW, Lexus, and other luxury car owners an alternative over towing their vehicles to a dealership to have work done.

Thank you for a wonderful year, and allowing our business to grow and succeed as it has.

We are at your service – always.

Just Cars - Locksmith Training in NY

5/09/2010

We finished up our training in NY and we are headed home (I'm typing this while waiting in the airport) The trip is a long one but well worth the time spent.  We learned a lot and we are excited to get back home and apply some of the new "Tricks of the Trade" we learned while here. We will be back to work taking calls and serving Chico on Monday.

We are proud to announce our newest member of the AAL locksmith

Partners humane society. He is about 8
weeks old, is very mellow and loving.
Welcome to the family T-Bo.

Next month we are headed to NY for some more automotive training.  Our company’s mission is to put 1) customer service, 2) quality of service and 3) continuing education, among our top 3 goals.  We are excited about “Just Cars” next month as it is among the best of the best of locksmith auto classes.

Finally, we are listed in the Google Local Business section.  We are very excited about this.

An old dog with some new tricks.

3/11/2010

Ok, I'm not really that old. lol.  We just got back from 4 days in Southern California.  We took several locksmith classes including Biometrics, Door and hinge servicing and an automotive transponder class.  The security expo on Saturday was nice, and we just couldn’t resist the urge to visit Universal Studios while we were in town.  We learned a lot and we continue to believe the best way to serve our customers is to continue learning and growing as a company.

Mixed Bag.

2/04/2010

We have been doing a little of this, and a little of that.  Rekey locks, safe work, replacing lost auto keys and even some CCTV.  It's nice to mix it up a bit.

Our facebook page is Here. Mention it for a free house key copy. =)  enjoy your week.

A Nice Vacation.

1/04/2010

It was a nice vacation, but it's back to work. Happy 2010 everyone!.

vFlyer.

11/27/2009

We signed up for vFlyer, a nice little service that lets you set up a digital flyer and submit it to other venues. We are excited about the new ad look.

Auto Keys.

11/15/2009

Keys, Keys everywhere. We just ordered a bunch of more keys for stock, and bought out another locksmith's "Overstock", so now we have more keys than ever before. So if you need a car key made, there is a good chance we will have it in stock (and if not, we can always order it and have it the next day).

Costco Value Book

11/01/2009

We started a new ad campaign today.  Costco is handing out 20,000 value books with 20 or so local business listed inside, each offering various coupons.  Here is a copy of our new ad, feel free to print it out and give us a call.  =)

LOckToberFest.

10/01/2009

Welcome to Locktob... err I mean October - We love it when the HEAT finaly BREAKS.  To celebrate we are offing a $50 FLAT RATE RE-KEY.  Just mention this post and we will come out and Re-Key your property (up to 8 locks, $10.00 each additional lock) for the flat rate of $50! (applies to standard equipment).  This offer will last through the month of October, 2009.

New Investments.

09/9/2009

We are always trying to reinvest in AAL so that we can do more, and do it better.  It seems there is an endless list of tools a locksmith can buy and the trick is knowing what tools are going to be most usefull.  We have spent almost $1,500.00 on new tools and equipment this month so we can serve you better and faster.  Man I love getting new tools to play with. =)

Key Fobs (Keyless Entry).

08/31/2009

We are now able to order and program replacement key fobs for your car or truck.  I am very excited about this new service as I have gotten more and more requests for it over the years.

Wake up now.

08/26/2009

I just wanted to give a “Shout out” to the Chico Chamber of Commerce.  I joined a few months ago and I have met a lot of good people and a lot of interesting businesses.  I have gotten jobs through them, and have recommended some of my customers to other chamber members.  It has turned out to be a great networking opportunity.  “Wake up now” is a weekly get together every Wednesday at 7:30am.  Check out the Chico Camber of Commerce for more details.

Web page Updates.

08/16/2009

I'm going to be doing some updates to the web page.

Another Safe Opened

08/11/2009

I have often thought about putting little black stickers of opened safes along the side of my work truck like the World War 2 pilots who painted small planes crashing to the ground on the side of their planes for each plane they had shot down.

Lost Keys

07/31/2009

Lots of lost auto keys this weekend.  Yep, we can fix that!

Locked out!

07/28/2009

It seems that it happens to everyone sooner or later.  If it happens to you our people will make sure you get the respect you deserve.  Yep, we do that!

Safe Job

07/24/2009

A customer of ours had their business broken into and their safe was attacked.  The cops caught the guy in the act but not before he had destroyed the outside of the safe.  We had to drill it open.  I hate to see bad things happen to people but I do love popping open safes.

Training

07/12/2009

I spent the weekend in Reno at a locksmith convention.  I took an Automotive class and a Life & Fire Safety class.  I look forward to these events every year so that I can learn new skills and mingle with other locksmiths from around the USA.

Personal Announcements

My 15 year old is taking "Drivers Training".  Is there a word for having joy and fear at the same time?  We are all proud of her.
