ADA Schlage Keys
The Americans Disability Act (ADA) governs commercial properties and the use of handicap accessible door and lock hardware. Replacing equipment to meet ADA standards can be expensive and it is not always necessary. For example, Someone with severe arthritis may have trouble locking and unlocking a standard residential deadbolt with a standard household key. Schlage (an Ingolsol Rand company) makes an ADA key that has a large bow, and is easier to use than a standard key you might get from a hardware store. If you know someone who could benefit from having one of these special keys, please feel free to give All About Locks & Safes a call at (530) 514-0252. We have them in stock (for around $10 each) and we will be happy to help.
