Lockout Service and the Hide-a-key

Its nothing to be embarrassed about, sometimes life just happens.  The other day I was talking on the phone, loading the van and drinking coffee, than Bam! The drivers door shut, the doors were locked with the keys inside.

Thankfully, I have a Hide-a-Key in my wallet.

My work van uses a “High Security” laser cut key. (laser cut just means there is a smooth transition between cuts).  Most new vehicles have them.  They are also sometimes called center cut or sidewinder keys.

We have “Test blanks” in stock that make great door keys if you get locked out, as they are small and fit just about anywhere.

The cost on this is usually $45 because of the expensive CNC laser cutter we have to use, and the cost of replacement cutters and tracers.

Here is a pick of another emergency laser key cut, ready to go. (House key for scale).  A small key-ring can be used to turn the key if needed, and we can provide those also (no extra cost).
