Growing & our new old van

As our customer base grows, so does our inventory, tool supply, equipment assets, and everything else including our ability to do more diverse jobs like Interchangeable Cores.  It was only a matter of time before we outgrew our first service truck.

I am proud of our little 2000 Ford Ranger.  Over the last 2 years it has ran almost flawlessly even though I have asked it to do more than most people would ask of a 10 year old truck, but it is packed to the gills and over loaded in weight so It’s time to expand and retire the old gal.  She will spend her new life transporting our 17 year old daughter back and forth to college after graduating High School later this year – An honorable life for a retired soldier of the service truck industry.

I’m going to miss that old truck but I can not hold back the tide of locksmith tools and supplies that holds up in the back of the truck any more than I can hold back the rain that would drench me when working out of the side box in a storm.

It’s going to take a month or so to transition to the new van (Taking care of all the maintenance and setup before we fully transfer our inventory, supplies and equipment over, but the new van will give us the extra room we have desperately needed.

We plan on using this van (hopefully) for the next 2 – 3 years and when our youngest is out of daycare and hopefully the economy has recovered we will look at getting a newer model, but for now I think this new old van will serve us (and your, our valued customers) well.
